Producer: Embrace Learning

Duration: 3 hours.
This product is an online product and is a single-user, 1-year licence.

Overview

Comprised of two study units, the course clearly defines what the term ‘carer’ means and explores the consequences of carers in the workplace not receiving the help and resources they need. It also identifies how employers must identify and support carers by law and how they can ensure that their workplace is truly carer-friendly.

Topics covered include:
· identifying who the carers are in the workplace
· exploring the needs of working carers
· outlining the business case for providing carers with the help and support they need
· examining the legal rights that carers have in the workplace

· exploring ways in which the organisation as a whole can provide practical help and support for carers in the workforce.
