Factors such as the need to be competitive, reduce costs and improve performance have made innovation and change management an inherent part of every manager's job. Today, managers must consider themselves as leaders of innovation and change.
Change is inherent. It is core and central to every strategy, business plan and business re-organisation. Therefore as a manager is important to know how to manage change effectively. This unit will provide you with the knowledge and skills to understand innovation and change in the workplace.


To develop knowledge and understanding of Understanding Innovation and Change as required by a practising or potential leader/manager at ILM Level 3.

At the end of this unit, you will be able to:

• Identify the barriers to change and innovation in the workplace
