Every year workers are killed or injured when moving loads, especially when using mechanical devices to move them by lifting and swinging. This online course offers a route to ensuring all your staff understand safe use and operation of lifting and slinging equipment.

The Moving Loads by Lifting and Slinging course covers techniques for the safe use of chains, ropes, slings, hooks and other lifting equipment, and aims to minimise accidents when moving loads. Defects in lifting equipment result from a variety of reasons, such as general use, bad slinging and misuse. Being able to identify defects in lifting and slinging equipment has long been recognised as one of the primary ways to reduce the number of accidents in the workplace.

This course is aimed at anyone who may need to use lifting or slinging equipment in the workplace.
