The Common Induction Standards have been refreshed and aligned with the core and mandatory units of the new Diploma in Health and Social Care, part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework. The ‘Common Induction Standards, Social Care (Adult Services)’ course which we offer through CoursesForYou is to be amended over the coming months in line with the refresh of the syllabus. The new syllabus is to be launched in June, and there will be a 12 month transition period for learners.
All the evidence shows that the Common Induction Standards are a valued resource for employer and managers as they seek to ensure their new staff are fit to begin their practice. There are now are eight standards instead of six, with elements being repackaged and ordered to offer greater clarity.
